Expertise in Dust Hazard Analysis

A core area of our expertise, dust hazard analysis (DHA), is a systematic review of the processes and areas of a facility where combustible dust is handled. Sigma-HSE has industry-renowned experts conducting DHAs, which conform to both NFPA and industry practices. In our DHAs, we partner with you to generate a set of recommendations tailored to your operations, cost-effective, and actionable.

Combustible Dust Testing

Our US operations are supported by the Sigma-HSE laboratory conducting a range of combustible dust tests, including Explosibility Screening (Go/No Go), Combustibility Screening, Minimum Ignition Energy (MIE), Minimum Ignition Temperature Cloud (MIT_cloud), Minimum Ignition Temperature Layer (MIT_layer), Explosion Severity (P_max, dP/dt_max, K_St), ST Classification, Minimum Explosive Concentration (MEC), Limiting Oxygen Concentration (LOC), and custom or specialty test design.

Process Safety Management

Our consultants have grown up with process safety management and will partner with you to develop or update a program or implement individual elements or activities (e.g., PHA, Incident Investigation, Electrical Area Classification, Auditing). Supported by our Sigma-HSE laboratory, we can help you navigate the challenging aspect of reactive chemicals.
